Job description

We are currently hiring for Assembler/Welders at the Manitowoc, WI location. The Assembler/Welder supports the fabrication and assembly of enclosure components by performing basic welding, fit-up, and mechanical assembly tasks under supervision. This entry-level role (0-3 years' experience) focuses on developing foundational welding and assembly skills, following work instructions, and contributing to safe and efficient production of enclosure frames, panels, and subassemblies.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with structural welding on enclosure components following drawings and trained procedures.
  • Perform basic mechanical assembly, including fitting panels, installing hardware, and prepping components for welding or final assembly.
  • Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine weld and assembly requirements.
  • Support material movement and positioning using overhead cranes or rigging (training provided as needed).
  • Conduct visual weld checks, report defects, and assist with rework under guidance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all PPE requirements, including respirators when required for certain materials.
  • Assist in setup and teardown of welding/assembly workstations.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and maintain workflow.
