Scaffolder - O&M NS Construction
JOB SUMMARY
The Scaffolder will build, erect, and dismantle various types of scaffolds, working platforms, and handrails.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Review and interpret blueprints, sketches, and work orders to determine materials and equipment required for assigned work.
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle various types of scaffolds.
  • Use woodworking tools, power tools, and perform basic joinery techniques.
  • Perform material take-offs and material requirements.
  • Assist Scaffolding Crew with building and erecting various types of scaffolding.
  • Must be comfortable working at various heights.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • A Valid Driver's License is required.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • The ability to work 80.5 - 84 hours a week on a 3x3 or 4x2 rotation is required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of 2,000 hours of related training and experience is required.
  • A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • At least one year of experience working in the Oil and Gas industry, Petrochemical industry, on the North Slope, or in an Arctic environment is preferred.
  • Scaffold builder's card is preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE
While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have its own accommodation and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
A candidate must be able to meet the following non-exclusive requirements:
Meet the ASRC Energy Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy.
Take and pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both UA and hair testing.
Meet the physical requirements of this position including working in a remote location under arctic conditions.
Required to take and pass a Fit-For-Duty Exam
Required to complete and successfully pass a background check.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.
The availability of this position is contingent upon the Company's continued operational needs once training is completed.
