The Role:
The Asian American Market CRE Relationship Manager is responsible for developing and managing commercial real estate (CRE) client relationships within the Asian American business community. This role focuses on identifying market opportunities, delivering tailored financial solutions, and fostering long-term partnerships with clients in the Asian American market segment. The Relationship Manager will serve as a cultural ambassador, leveraging language skills and community knowledge to expand Piermont Bank's presence and support the unique needs of Asian American CRE clients.
Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Asian American CRE clients, including investors, developers, and business owners.
  • Originate, structure, and manage commercial real estate loans, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify market trends and business opportunities within the Asian American community, developing strategies to grow the CRE portfolio.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customized financial solutions and ensure seamless client experiences.
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for Asian American clients, providing guidance on banking products, services, and industry best practices.
  • Represent Piermont Bank at community events, industry conferences, and networking functions to enhance visibility and attract new business.
  • Prepare reports on portfolio performance, client activity, and market developments.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in commercial real estate lending or relationship management, preferably with exposure to the Asia American market.
  • Strong knowledge of CRE products, underwriting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in an Asian language (such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, or Vietnamese) strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Asian American business culture and community dynamics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities.

The hiring range for this position is $130,000 to $175,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. A bonus and/or incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, dental, vision, 401k, and other benefits.
