"Job Description:
The Network Operations Engineer will be responsible for working within a Tier 1 carrier team for providing an operational level of support, i.e. recommending, applying, and validating the device configurations across the Cisco and Junos devices (routing and switching). The ideal engineer has a deep background in carrier-grade core networks.
Daily Responsibilities:
• Perform network discovery, audits, and utilize data to create network router configurations.
• Validate the device configuration.
• Write the detailed MOPs for deploying and/or upgrade of the network devices.
• Produce technical documents like design, MoP, etc.
• Serves as subject matter expert in the area of Network Routers (Cisco, Juniper).
• Participate in DevOps design reviews to identify relevant areas where audits can assist operations for future network platform updates.
Required Qualifications:
• 8+ years of strong experience in network infrastructure and consolidation projects.
• 5+ years of experience working in network engineering including design, migrations, network alarming / discord auditing and operations, with a focus on Cisco and/or Juniper routers devices.
• Strong knowledge of layer 3 protocols including BGP, OSPF, etc.
• Good Knowledge of XML, Netconf, Yang, etc.
Certifications
• Cisco CCNA is required and CCIE preferred"
