Responsibilities
RN I (ASC)
Provides nursing care to patients in an assigned unit. Possesses knowledge and skill necessary to meet nursing standards for professional practice specified in Texas Nurse Practice Act with supervision. Recognizes when assistance is needed and seeks appropriate resources. Practice is characterized by a balance of dependent and interdependent decision making. Focus is on expanding knowledge and skills for specialty area. Provides patient care through nursing-based practices upon the American Nurses Association Standards of Professional Practice and Professional Performance. Values specialty unit, nursing, and institutional strategic initiatives and health system goals.
RN II (ASC)
Demonstrate a proficiency in delivering high quality age specific patient care. Develop effective working relationships with all members of the ASC and Clinic. Communicates information effectively, appropriately, and with courtesy regarding patient conditions to those who require the information including, physicians, anesthesia, management, staff, patients, families, and visitors. Perform safe and competent nursing care according to the organization's policy & procedures and or ASPAN (American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nursing) standards and or AORN (Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses) standards and or SGNA (Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates) standards.
RN III (ASC)
Demonstrate a proficiency in delivering high quality age specific patient care. Develop effective working relationships with all members of the ASC and Clinic. Communicates information effectively, appropriately, and with courtesy regarding patient conditions to those who require the information including, physicians, anesthesia, management, staff, patients, families, and visitors. Perform safe and competent pre-operative nursing care according to the organization's policy & procedures, ASPAN (American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nursing) standards and or AORN (Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses) standards and or SGNA (Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates) standards. Must work in 2 or more units within department. Will be responsible for precepting new employees and assuming the charge role when needed. Assists with education initiatives. Contributes to process improvement and quality by auditing/tracking one Key Performance Indicator.
RN IV (ASC)
Demonstrate a proficiency in delivering high quality age specific patient care. Develop effective working relationships with all members of the ASC and Clinic. Communicates information effectively, appropriately, and with courtesy regarding patient conditions to those who require the information including, physicians, anesthesia, management, staff, patients, families, and visitors. Perform safe and competent pre-operative nursing care according to the organization's policy & procedures. Perform safe and competent endoscopy room nursing care according to ASPAN (American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nursing) standards and or AORN (Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses) standards and or SGNA (Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates) standards. Must work in 3 or more units within the department. Will be responsible for precepting new employees and assuming the charge role when needed. Assists with education initiatives. Facilitates patient experience by assisting with the development and implementation of action plans. Contributes to process improvement and quality by auditing/tracking two Key Performance Indicators. Promotes team knowledge by providing 2 in-services per year.
