Our client, TMP Architecture is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join their team!
They are a professional Midwest architecture firm of creatively focused individuals who specialize in the planning and design of educational facilities for all stages of life. Expertise in learning environments for the arts, sciences, sports and recreation, health and wellness, and media is reinforced by a commitment to client service, project value, and innovative solutions. 
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of all Human Resource functions across the firm. The selected candidate will also provide general administrative support with an emphasis on human resources projects including, but not limited to, payroll, benefits administration, maintaining electronic filing systems, and onboarding. The ideal candidate will be able to support organizational growth and employee development while ensuring compliance in all areas of employment.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and train staff on HR policies and procedures
  • Direct onboarding, open enrollment, and hiring processes
  • Manage payroll, benefits administration, compliance, documentation, and recordkeeping
  • Partner with firm leadership to achieve key strategic initiatives
  • Supervise HR Coordinator with day to day duties
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and offer coordination
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and resolving workplace issues
  • Administer performance management processes, including reviews, goal setting, and corrective action
  • Coordinate employee training, development, and continuing education programs
  • Administer leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and disability claims
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
  • Oversee HRIS data integrity and generate reports for leadership as needed
  • Support workplace safety initiatives and manage workers' compensation claims
  • Conduct exit interviews and manage the offboarding process
  • Monitor and communicate changes in employment law to ensure ongoing organizational compliance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field; Human Resources preferred
  • Professional in Human Resources certification preferred (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience at the HR Manager or Generalist level
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional with experience at a professional services firm preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize competing demands
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and initiative
