Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Arts & Crafts, the Arts & Crafts Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day operations in Arts & Crafts. The Specialist will provide excellent guest service and role modeling, and at all times exemplify the Y values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Oversee general appearance of Arts and Crafts, fitness room, and gym.

2. Performs any/all secretarial duties deemed necessary

3. Will work all scheduled hours, including nights, weekends, and Holidays

4. Completes all items on Daily and weekly checklists with accuracy

5. Sells and promotes all available activities to guests

6. Accurately completing all sales in Mega Touch, and a basic understanding of the system

7. Balancing the shift activity and entering daily shift information with 100% accuracy in Mega Touch, and balancing the cash drawers.

8. Assist with store inventory quarterly

9. Provide quality guest service at all times

10. Provide all guests with accurate information concerning all programs and activities

11. Work with all staff members as a team player

12. Other Duties as assigned
