Job description

Reporting to the Manager of Procurement, you will support Commodities Procurement with a focus on Edible Fats & Oils. You will lead research and strategy execution, resolve complex supply challenges, and build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. You will perform category analysis, forecasting, reporting, and risk assessments while collaborating across functions to identify process improvements and strategic opportunities.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
  • Purchase assigned commodities according to business requirements and market-driven timing decisions based on daily market analysis.
  • Develop and implement category strategies informed by supply and demand balances, industry trends, market dynamics, and cost drivers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners and external suppliers.
  • Provide contract and position management support using Excel, SAP, and internal forecasting systems.
  • Serve as the primary contract management contact for manufacturing locations.
  • Support procurement category managers and operations partners in identifying and mitigating material supply risks.
  • Partner with Research & Development on innovation and product design initiatives.
  • Support supplier quality investigations and corrective action activities in partnership with Quality and Procurement teams.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to manage inbound supply chain activities.
  • Support implementation of Enterprise Procurement projects across assigned brands and locations.
  • Conduct data analysis and risk/reward assessments related to pricing and specification changes.
  • Manage raw material inventory requirements to minimize loss and obsolescence.
  • Deliver accurate monthly material forecasts and communicate market trends, cost changes, and key drivers to stakeholders.
  • Prepare derivative reporting and ownership analyses for business partners.
  • Develop commodity forecasts and support risk management strategies.
  • Maintain documentation and follow-up activities related to risk strategies.
  • Perform statistical analysis to evaluate category and product viability.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence tools and initiatives to improve efficiency and business outcomes.

Ingredients Required for Your Success
  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience operating in a matrixed environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong project management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset focused on driving efficiency and results.
  • Experience using SAP or a comparable enterprise resource planning system.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data relationships.
  • Interest in economic analysis and macroeconomic factors impacting commodity purchasing categories.
  • Knowledge of college-level mathematics and statistics.
  • Advanced PowerPoint presentation development skills.
  • Experience using Power BI for reporting and analytics.
  • Experience supporting procurement technology and digital initiatives.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools and Copilot functionality.
  • Minimal travel required.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with in-office attendance Tuesday through Thursday.

Compensation
Pay Range:$64,000-$95,000
The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
