Description:

Associate Art Consultant

Location: Atlanta, GA (or within close driving distance preferred)

Department: Art Consulting

Position Overview

Soho is seeking a highly organized, creative, and detail-oriented Associate Art Consultant to support the development and execution of art programs for hospitality and commercial projects.

This role sits at the center of the creative process, partnering closely with Senior Art Consultants and Curators to translate client vision into thoughtful, well-executed art programs. It requires a strong balance of creativity and structure — someone who can think conceptually while also managing details, communication, and follow-through.

The ideal candidate is both artistic and practical. They are comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and can move seamlessly between creative ideation, research, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of art programs across multiple projects
  • Collaborate with Senior Art Consultants and Curators to understand project vision, client needs, and design intent
  • Conduct research and sourcing of artwork aligned with project narrative, budget, and design direction
  • Develop written narratives and presentations that clearly communicate the creative concept and artwork selections
  • Ensure artwork and framing specifications are accurate, complete, and consistently maintained
  • Maintain organized documentation across projects, including selections, specifications, and updates
  • Communicate regularly with internal teams to provide visibility into project progress and timelines
  • Partner with artists to source, commission, and refine artwork as needed
  • Support coordination between Art Consulting, Project Management, and Production to ensure alignment from concept through execution
  • Stay current on art trends, artists, and market direction to inform selections and recommendations
  • Take initiative to identify gaps, solve problems, and keep projects moving forward
Requirements:

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to balance creative thinking with structured execution
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in art, art history, design, or related field preferred
  • Prior experience in art consulting, design, or a related field is a plus

Ideal Candidate Traits

  • Creative & Analytical - Able to think conceptually while applying logic and structure to bring ideas to life
  • Adaptable - Comfortable shifting between creative work and detail-oriented execution in a dynamic environment
  • Detail-Oriented - Maintains a high level of accuracy while keeping the broader vision in mind
  • Artistic & Practical - Has a strong eye for art and design, while also understanding what is realistic and executable
  • Proactive - Takes initiative, follows through, and keeps work moving without constant direction
  • Strong Communicator - Builds effective working relationships with team members, artists, and partners through clear and thoughtful communication
