As a member of Post Ranch Inn, the Mercantile Associate will ensure a world class guest experience both on our property and e-commerce site. Core responsibilities include the ability to maximize the sales productivity of the Mercantile store through effective selling, client development and special events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Deliver an exceptional experience by warmly welcoming every guest, engaging in conversation when appropriate, and assisting with all requests.

  • Maximize selling opportunities, brand recognition, and repeat business among in-house guests, visitors, local residents, Sierra Mar guests, and online customers.

  • Accurately operate the POS system; stock and maintain merchandise; assist with physical inventory preparation and counts; ensure the Mercantile remains clean and organized.

  • Provide product and customer feedback to the Mercantile Manager; share property history and promotions with guests; give and receive constructive feedback; perform other duties as assigned

  • Feature and promote local artists through the art gallery; secure local art and jewelry; support property-wide promotions and strengthen community partnerships.
     

ESSENTIAL WORK SKILLS:

  • Prior retail experience in a boutique environment, with proven track record of sales productivity

Pay rate for the Mercantile Associate position is $20.00 / hour plus commission on consignment sales.
This is a part- time position. Must have flexible work availability 9:00am - 5:30pm
