About the Opportunity
The Clubs at Arrowhead is seeking an energetic and professional Pickleball Professional to support the continued growth of our expanding pickleball program. This role is ideal for an instructor who is passionate about teaching, player development, and creating an engaging, well-run pickleball environment. The position focuses on delivering high-quality instruction, supporting daily programming, and collaborating on leagues, tournaments, and events that enhance the overall member experience.

Two Arnold Palmer-designed courses anchor Arrowhead's 36 holes, offering double the variety in Glendale, with The Legend and Heritage layouts challenging shot-making through strategic bunkering, water features, and desert landscape. Set along the King Course, the club is undergoing an exciting transformation centered around a premier sport and racquet complex that elevates the tennis and pickleball experience. Members enjoy 18 new pickleball courts, 12 of which are covered and lighted, along with newly resurfaced center tennis courts and a state-of-the-art fitness center featuring modern strength and cardio equipment, expert-led classes, functional training spaces, and on-site childcare. The refreshed pool area includes resurfaced pools, renovated locker rooms, enhanced snack bar access, and new shaded gazebos-creating an active and connected environment that supports wellness at every level. With vibrant dining, live music, and a full social calendar, Arrowhead offers a lifestyle built around energy, community, and play.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the daily management of pickleball programming, including oversight of open play times to ensure smooth operations and positive member experiences.
  • Teach private and group pickleball lessons to players of varying ages and skill levels.
  • Design and lead pickleball clinics for beginner, intermediate, and advanced players.
  • Assist in organizing and executing leagues, ladders, tournaments, socials, and special events.
  • Promote pickleball programs and encourage participation to help grow engagement across the membership.
  • Provide on-court feedback and instruction to support consistent player development.
  • Maintain accurate records of lessons, clinics, and attendance using club scheduling systems.
  • Ensure courts, equipment, and teaching spaces remain safe, organized, and professional.
  • Work collaboratively with the racquets team and support broader club initiatives as needed.
  • Attend staff meetings and follow all club policies, procedures, and service standards.

Qualifications & Preferred Background
  • Minimum of 1 year of pickleball teaching experience in a club, recreation, or instructional setting.
  • 4.5+ DUPR rating or equivalent competitive playing level preferred.
  • RSPA, PPR, ITPTA, or equivalent certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
  • Outgoing, collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working with players of all ages and abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Punctual, organized, and committed to providing a consistently high-quality member experience.
  • Familiarity with lesson scheduling systems and basic reporting tools.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
