Whether property damage is caused by water, fire, smoke, storms, or other disasters, we deliver on our promise to provide extraordinary care while serving people in their time of need! We are looking for a positive, empathetic, and punctual individual that possesses an urgency to help people get their lives back to normal following a disaster.

Normal working hours are from 7:30am to 5pm (with some flexibility) Monday through Friday. Individual must have the on-call ability to respond to occasional emergency calls which primarily result from water loss and flooding. Afterhours on-call status is on a rotating weekly schedule (approximately every 6 to 8 weeks currently) and includes on-call pay (time and a half), an availability bonus, and a per site visit bonus!

Duties in this position include water removal/extraction, demolition of damaged property, documentation, as well as equipment setup and project monitoring. You will be working in a team environment and under instruction of a lead.Arrow provides and assigns company vehicles (typically a box truck) with the power tools necessary to complete carpentry jobs. Basic individual hand tools are employee provided.


Initial training is in Bismarck ND with our experienced mitigation team and will gravitate towards Dickinson ND. Estimated training is 2 weeks but depends on overall progress. Hotel room is covered and a nightly per diem is provided.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive and review work/job orders every morning.
  • Ensure work vehicle (box truck or van) is properly stocked with necessary supplies and equipment needed for the day.
  • Finding and stopping the water source.
  • Water extraction.
  • Setting up air moving, drying, dehumidifying, and/or specialty equipment.
  • Moving items (personal property) to prevent further damage.
  • Demolition - Removal and disposal of wet/damaged building materials.
  • Gathering of samples (such as carpet, carpet pad, baseboard, casing, flooring, drywall, paint, etc.).
  • Documentation of damage such as photographs (pre-existing damage, pre and post work), moisture meter readings, secondary damage, scoping, etc.).
  • Obtaining Drying authorization and collecting deposit.
  • Final job walk and clean-up (checking for nails, screws, staples, forgotten samples, etc.).
  • Maintain and clean equipment.

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience in mitigation, carpet cleaning, or restoration work preferred but not necessary. Willing to train the right person.
  • Experience working from a work van or box truck a plus.
  • Effective and professional communication skills with teammates and management.
  • Excellent customer service skills including the ability to show empathy.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Basic math skills.


Physical Demands:

  • Lift (constantly) 5-15 lbs., lift (frequently) 15-50 lbs.
  • May involve significant standing/walking/ pushing/pulling.
  • Occasional climbing (ladders, etc.), balancing, crouching, frequent stooping, reaching, kneeling, and handling.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Exposure to weather with temperatures ranging from mild to moderate cold/heat.
  • Exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud from occasional to frequent.

Pay:

  • Starting wage negotiable but largely depends on experience, diversity of skillsets, industry knowledge, and ability (DOE).
  • Increased hourly wage (hazard pay) based off job classification and PPE (personal protective equipment) requirements. Examples include mold, trauma, sewage, etc.
  • 90-day review (potential for wage adjustment).
  • Annual reviews scheduled thereafter within department review cycle (potential for wage adjustment if applicable).
  • On-call emergency afterhours pay (time and a half, an availability bonus, and a per site visit bonus) once deemed eligible to participate, per occurrence, and within a rotating schedule.
  • Eligible for over-time pay.

Schedule:

  • 40 to 45 hours per week, Monday through Friday, typically 7:30am through 5pm. Occasional 6:30am starts to accommodate travel distance outside of the Dickinson ND area.
  • Occasional over-nights with hotel room paid and per diem provided.
  • Rotating on-call schedule for any afterhours (after 5pm) emergencies.


Age Requirement:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.


Education:

  • High school or equivalent.


License/Certification:

  • Valid and current Driver's License (legal ability to drive is required).
  • Reliable transportation for getting to and from the office/shop.
