Armed couriers pick-up and deliver valuables and confidential material in specialized vehicles. In this role, you work for a variety of clients, such as banks, private companies, the military, and individuals who want to transport high-value personal items from one place to another. Armed couriers are trained to survey the area during pick-ups and drop-offs to notice any suspicious activity from people around them or to sense if they are being followed. As an armed courier, you drive an armored vehicle to the pick-up location and ensure you safely deliver the items to the drop-off area. Unlike regular couriers, armed couriers carry lethal weapons to protect themselves and their cargo from theft and assault. How they use their weapons is limited by applicable legislation; armed couriers are expected to use nonlethal defense techniques whenever possible.
