Job description

The “living room” of Texas Live! – Live! Arena is a multi-level, central gathering place comprised of over 35,000 square feet of best-in-class dining, sports and entertainment options. With world-class audio and video and a 100-ft LED HD television, Live! Arena provides in-game promotions that will rival any live sports experience in the world. This is your place to be a part of the energy and excitement year-round to celebrate the Rangers and all Texas sports. The venue includes a crowd-pleasing menu and an exclusive mezzanine lounge for the ultimate sports viewing experience. At Live! Arena - nothing is short of memorable.

Porter Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Sweep, scrub, mop floors
  • Dust furniture and fittings
  • Empty and clean trash containers
  • Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
  • Clean and stock restrooms
  • Wipe down glass surfaces
  • Wash windows as scheduled
  • Operate mechanized cleaning equipment
  • Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
  • Monitor and report necessary repairs and replacements
  • Other duties as assigned

Porter Qualifications

  • Courteous and pleasant to all guests
  • Ability to work as a team with fellow porters and other staff
  • English speaking skills are beneficial, but not required
  • Ability to follow direction from supervisors/managers
  • Experience working in the porter or janitorial field is a plus, but not required
  • Previous job references are required
  • Availability to work nights, weekend and/or holidays may be required

The Porter position requires the ability to perform the following:

  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Frequently standing up and moving about the facility
  • Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
  • Frequently bending, standing, stooping, and kneeling
