Job Summary:
The Bowers Group, a Legence company, is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Project Manager to join our team. This is an in-field position based in the DMV area that will drive a large data center construction project.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and manage assistant project managers.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the general contractor and owner's representatives.
  • Procure material and equipment as required.
  • Manage project costs and the estimated budget.
  • Manage project schedule to ensure meeting project milestones and completion date requirements.
  • Manage RFI process.
  • Manage submittal process and log, including reviewing submittals and confirming compliance with the project requirements.
  • Mentor and manage Forecast and manage labor on the project.
  • Forecast and manage fabrication as required.
  • Estimate and create change order proposals.
  • Manage and participate in the BIM/coordination process.
  • Maintain professional communications with coworkers and clients.
  • Coordinate and lead staff from all departments as needed throughout the entirety of the project.
  • Prepare budget projections and control costs.
  • Meet established revenue and profit goals.
  • Attend client project meetings.
  • Will be required to be on job sites during construction activities and during critical project times.
  • Provide problem solving skills as required throughout the project.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of mechanical construction project management experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to walk long distances, stand for extended periods of time and traverse different types of terrain and elevations.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs from different levels.
  • Data center project experience preferred.

  • This is an in-field position based in the DMV area.

  • Salary Range: $100,000 - $155,000.
