Area Manager - Open to PTA, COTA, PT, OT, SLP with prior leadership experience - Locations in Myrtle Beach, Pawleys Island, Charleston, SC and South Georgia.

The Area Manager is responsible for patient care in their own discipline, facilitating and developing the relationship/coordination between multiple site rehab departments, developing and building the rehab teams, and marketing the facilities. The Area Manager acts as a resource for the team and patient in problem solving. The Area Manager assists in coordination of resources, optimization of caseloads, identification of educational opportunities, and implementation of clinical programs. This will be achieved within the value system of Broad River Rehab and with the ultimate objective of creating value for our residents, customers and employees.
Broad River Rehab is a NC based growing therapy company which partners with providers across all settings including assisted/ independent and skilled nursing facilities to provide premier physical, occupational and speech therapy services.
CREDENTIALS:
? Baccalaureate (OT and PT), Masters (SLP) degree or Graduate of an approved school as a COTA or PTA.
? 5 years Rehab Director/Area Manager management experience required.
?State licenses as appropriate.
? Knowledge of Medicare billing procedures and documentation compliance.
? Good management and employee development ability.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Patient/Caseload Management:
o Manages and coordinates the rehab team to optimize efficient and appropriate delivery of care, including assuring that there is adequate therapy staff to meet patient needs.
o Provides direct care and follows the appropriate job description; manages his/her caseload and maintains assigned productivity level.
o Participates as effective team member and maximizes team effort for facility and patient care excellence. Assists with and communicates patient assignments to all disciplines involved. o Assists team in patient and team problem solving activities.
o Ensures timely response to new admissions and reassessment of current patients to identify significant changes that could result in additional therapy.
o Achieves Broad River Rehab utilization expectations.
o Follows established protected health information (PHI) policies to prevent privacy or security breaches. Reports breaches to Privacy Official.
? Customer Relations/Business Development:
o Maintains and manages relationship with facility Administrator, Director of Nursing, and other key staff to ensure effective customer relations.
o Enhances facility profitability through understanding and education of reimbursement issues.
o Ensures alignment with facility objectives, timely response to facility issues, and resolution of problems.
o Identifies new clinical program opportunities and coordinates information with appropriate management.
o Participates in Utilization Review &/or Performance Improvement activities as directed to ensure coordination of rehab effort with facility.
o Develops, implements, and monitors facility action plans to ensure quality patient care objectives are met.
o Participates in marketing activities to support the facility’s mission.
? Staff Management and Development:
o Assists with new staff training and orientation to ensure understanding.
o Communicates effectively to ensure staff understand business aspects of therapy delivery from both the customer’s and the company’s standpoints.
o Participates in the recruiting process.
o Provides feedback to therapists through in-services and discussion.
o Ensures compliance with data reporting systems.
? Finance and Administration:
o Provides monitoring function to ensure accuracy of billing, completion of time in facility logs and communication to corporate office.
o Ensures that all BRR correspondence reaches agency therapy staff.
o Ensures that all Rehabilitation Policies and Procedures are kept current.
o Communicates problems appropriately and timely to management.
