Job description

As a member of a dynamic sales team, the sales professional is responsible for developing new business while maintaining and strengthening existing customer relationships with small and medium-sized customers in rural markets. Provides face-to-face customer contact in an assigned market-based geographic territory to achieve personal and company sales goals.

Essential Functions

Develops new business and grows revenue by identifying potential new customers, conducting background research on potential customers, discussing the customer's supply chain with decision makers and other appropriate customer representatives, analyzing customer needs, and developing and implementing solutions.

Maintains existing business by developing an understanding of the customer's business and supply chain through research and customer interaction, analyzing customer needs and developing and implementing solutions.

Coordinates and collaborates with internal teams, such as sales counterparts and operations as well as other internal partners to provide a seamless and outstanding customer experience.

Regularly engages face-to-face with top 20-30 revenue customers in territory to ensure customer understanding of service offerings and to maximize customer utilization of products and services.

Takes initiative to lead internal teams and demonstrates organization, discipline, and adaptability to retain the highest revenue customers.

Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree/equivalent (Equivalency reflected under minimum experience)

Minimum Experience (in lieu of bachelor's degree)

Four (4) years of business-to-business sales experience or two (2) years of the Company's business-to-business sales experience required.

Job Conditions

70% Travel with some overnight required.


Preferred Qualifications: Quantifiable & Measurable Sales Achievements, Territory management, experience with CBRs, building & maintaining C level relationships, building account plans, Collaboration across multiple functions This is a customer-facing role that requires regular inperson meetings. Candidates must live within a 50mile radius of City, State or surrounding cities within the territory: Iowa City, IA or Fairfield, IA.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the salary information represents the job level minimum and the job level maximum. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: Minimum: $4,331.25/month - Maximum: $8,187.50/month

Additional Details: Relocation may be available based on business need. Position is not eligible for sponsorship. Pay Grade: SP3.
