Position Summary
The Group X Coordinator is responsible for evaluating the quality of the Group Exercise (GX) Department, members' needs, and using this insight to enhance the program accordingly. The GX Coordinator is responsible for the overall production and success of the GX department for their respective clubs. This is a part time hourly position.
General Position Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Prior GX managerial experience preferred, but not required.
  • A nationally accredited Primary Group Fitness certification is highly recommended.
  • Prior Group Fitness teaching experience preferred.

Core Job Duties
  • Enforce department/company policies and procedures.
  • Promote classes, programs, and company events as directed.
  • Comply with the Group Exercise Manual.
  • Maintain email and phone accessibility.
  • Exemplify YouFit's Core Values and Code of Ethics.
  • Hire, fire, and recruit Group Exercise Instructors.
  • Ensure Group Exercise Instructor compliance; report non-compliance.
  • Report stereo, mic, lighting, and other equipment issues to the Project Coordinator.
  • Manage Substitution Board and approve requests for assigned clubs.
  • Handle schedule changes and monitor the instructor Facebook group.
  • Promote GX classes/programs via social media and on-site in assigned markets.
  • Provide marketing with updated class photos/videos.
  • Recruit instructor talent for the GX Area Director.
  • Audit a minimum of 2 GX classes monthly; report feedback for program development.
  • Attend area Group Exercise auditions.
  • Cover unfilled class substitutions to ensure zero class cancellations
  • Coach front desk on class suggestions for members.
  • Invite members to try classes during club walk-throughs.
  • Engage with local events for promotional support.
  • Stay updated on group exercise trends.
  • Spot-check class attendance for compliance.
  • Check for updated or outdated in-club signage.
  • Audit GX check-in processes.
  • Be present at area Group Exercise auditions.
  • Find and support local events for club promotion.
  • Other job related duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this role, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely an active role with some bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds) and stooping required.
