Glazing Superintendent – Lead Commercial Glass and Architectural Metal Installations


Job Overview

  • Salary/Pay Rate: $35 - $45 per hour (based on experience)
  • Location: Nashville, TN.
  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Overtime as required).
  • Project Scope: Commercial Glass, Glazing & Architectural Metals.
  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None Required.


The Opportunity

You will serve as a vital field leader driving the execution of high-profile commercial glazing and architectural metal projects. This role gives you the opportunity to spearhead dynamic field operations while mentoring a dedicated team within an organization boasting an extremely high retention rate. You will directly influence project success from start to finish by collaborating closely with project managers and general contractors.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Direct daily field operations to successfully meet project schedules, quality standards, and safety goals.
  • Lead and mentor a field installation crew of 10 to 15 professionals to ensure precise craftsmanship.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, field dimensions, and essential documentation with the project management team.
  • Manage effective on-site communication with general contractor project managers and superintendents to align project execution.
  • Oversee the flawless installation of aluminum storefronts, curtain walls, architectural glass, and metal panels.
  • Maintain accurate jobsite paperwork and represent the company actively at weekly foremen's meetings.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience running large commercial projects valued between $2M and $5M.
  • Proven experience leading 10-15 person crews on multi-story buildings of 5 or more stories.
  • Ability to read blueprints, architectural drawings, and shop drawings, while performing precise layout functions.
  • Proficiency operating material handling equipment including lulls, scissor lifts, and articulating lifts.
  • Possession of an OSHA 10-hour certification and ownership of basic hand tools.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing stairs, and working from platform lifts.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Five or more years of preferred related work experience in the commercial glass and glazing industry.
  • Deep familiarity with architectural metal panels, representing approximately 30% of the company scope.
  • Strong track record of developing field staff and fostering a highly collaborative team environment.
