Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Architectural Designer to join our design team. In this role, you will support architectural project delivery from concept through permitting and construction documentation, using Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM tools. You will liaise with internal teams, clients, and city agencies to ensure compliance with design objectives, codes, and standards.


Key Responsibilities


Design & Drafting

  • Produce detailed architectural drawings and construction documents using Revit (BIM) and CAD.
  • Develop schematic designs, floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
  • Assist in generating 3D models, renderings, and presentations for client/design reviews.


Code Compliance & Technical Research

  • Conduct building code research and ensure all design work adheres to applicable international, state, and local codes (IFEBC, ADA, zoning, etc.).
  • Prepare and update documentation for permit submittals.


Client & City Interface

  • Interface professionally with clients during project meetings, presentations, and design discussions.
  • Coordinate with city planners, building officials, and permitting agencies to support entitlement and approval processes.
  • Respond to comments from authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) and coordinate revisions.

Team & Project Coordination

  • Collaborate with senior architects, engineers, and consultants throughout project phases.
  • Participate in design coordination meetings and ensure design intent is maintained in technical documentation.
  • Provide support during construction administration, including submittal reviews and RFI responses.


Quality & Standards

  • Ensure drawings are accurate, organized, and align with company and industry quality standards.
  • Maintain project files and document revisions throughout the project lifecycle.


Qualifications


Required

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD (BIM and CAD workflows) at least 5 years
  • Strong understanding of architectural drafting principles and construction documentation.
  • Knowledge of building codes, life-safety, accessibility, and zoning compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills for client and agency interaction.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver high-quality work under deadlines.


Preferred

  • Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or related field.
  • Experience in commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use architecture.
  • Familiarity with permit processes and municipal plan check procedures.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
