Job description

Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Architectural Designer who will fill a key role responsible for design, documentation, and execution of architectural projects from concept through construction. This position requires a blend of design expertise, technical knowledge, and project management skills to deliver high-quality projects. The candidate needs to have 10+ years of professional experience using Revit and consistently completing projects from concept through construction documents.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Management

  • Lead and manage multiple projects from design conception through construction completion.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans, ensuring alignment with client expectations and strategic firm objectives.
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients, design consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Coordinate project deliverables with engineering consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all projects meet quality standards, adhere to contractual obligations, and comply with regulatory requirements.

Architectural Design & Technical Oversight

  • Develop and refine project concepts, incorporating innovative and sustainable design solutions.
  • Produce detailed construction documents, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Conduct code analysis and ensure designs comply with zoning, ADA, and building regulations.
  • Resolve design and construction issues through coordination with contractors and consultants.
  • Develop project manuals as required per project.
  • Assist staff in the bidding process as required per project.
  • Review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings to maintain design integrity throughout the construction process.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of contract administration including project closeout procedures.

Team Coordination & Mentorship

  • Lead and manage projects, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Provide guidance and technical expertise to junior designers.
  • Facilitate project reviews and critiques per company guidelines to enhance design quality and team development.

Qualifications & Skills:

10+ years of diverse experience in architectural design, project management, and construction administration.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in leading projects across various building types.
  • Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, and project management software.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
