Architectural Designer Drafters play a crucial role in turning architectural ideas into actionable construction documents.

Job description

The Architectural Designer plays a key role in transforming client visions into buildable, beautiful, and functional spaces. From concept sketches to construction-ready documents, you’ll work at the intersection of creativity, technical precision, and collaboration. Partnering with architects, engineers, and construction professionals, you’ll deliver designs that meet client needs, comply with codes, align with budgets, and stand the test of time.

This role offers the unique opportunity to work within a Design+Build environment — meaning you’ll see your ideas move seamlessly from the drafting table to the real world.

What You’ll Do

  • Design & Documentation – Create architectural concepts, technical drawings, and construction documents that meet code requirements and project goals.
  • Project Coordination – Track schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure smooth progress from early design through construction.
  • Collaboration – Work side-by-side with engineers, project managers, builders, and clients to produce integrated, constructible designs.
  • Site & Field Work – Conduct site visits, provide construction-phase support, and solve design challenges in real time.
  • Design-Build Impact – Contribute to a team that not only designs, but builds — giving your work a direct, tangible legacy.

What You Bring

  • Mid-to-senior level experience in architectural design, detailing, and project management.
  • 4+ years of proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
  • Deep knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and industry standards.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset that thrives in fast-paced, dynamic settings.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
  • Sitting (or driving) in a normal seated position for extended periods of time.
  • Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.
  • Finger dexterity is required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), i.e.: using a keyboard.
  • Ability to see within normal parameters.
  • Ability to hear within normal range.
  • Ability to move about a construction site including, but not limited to: climbing ladders and scaffolds, and walk over uneven terrain.

Perks & Benefits

  • Health, dental and vision insurance
  • $15,000 life insurance policy
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Fitness and wellness membership allowance
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid time off
  • Paid professional memberships and licensure
  • Company celebrations and social events
  • Annual employee recognition, gifts, and swag
  • Flexible work environment accommodations, valuing work-life balance
