Job Title: High School Architecture Teacher
Position Summary
The High School Architecture Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, hands-on instruction in architectural design, drafting, and construction concepts. This position prepares students for careers in architecture, engineering, and related fields by developing technical skills, design thinking, and industry knowledge aligned with Career and Technical Education (CTE) standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a curriculum aligned with state CTE standards in architecture and construction pathways
  • Teach courses such as Architectural Design, Drafting (manual and CAD), and Principles of Construction
  • Provide instruction in industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp)
  • Guide students through design projects, portfolios, and real-world problem-solving activities
  • Integrate math, engineering, and sustainability concepts into lessons
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom/lab environment
  • Assess student performance through projects, presentations, and exams
  • Support students in earning industry certifications (where applicable)
