SMA is an award-winning firm looking for an energetic and motivated experienced Drafter/ Revit /BIM Modelers / Draftspersons with strong Architectural drafting and modeling experience to join our team. The responsibilities include assisting the Production Team & Project Managers in the production of architectural construction documents and overall coordination.

**HYBRID POSITION - Fort Lauderdale Office**

The applicant must be:

  • a self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting with knowledge and interest in environmental and sustainable design
  • strong technical and graphic ability
  • The candidate must be attuned to the company's missions and values

Job Requirements

• Draft plans/mark-ups for the purpose of creating construction documents.

• Review all work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting for review.

• Revise plans according to client, manager, or reviewer comments.

• Assist in organizing and maintaining all CAD or BIM-related files for clients.

• May assist in the responsibility of submitting plans on time.

• Ability to adhere to office CAD and BIM standards and practices.

• Perform non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions under minimum supervision.

Success Metrics

• Be self-reliant and able to operate independently.

• Ability to ask for additional direction and assistance when needed

• Works effectively with internal leaders as well as external clients.

• Have a sense of urgency in responding to constituents.

• Have a strong element of quality control/attention to detail at all levels.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years architectural drafting experience.

• Associates' or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

• College drafting courses, certificate or Associates's degree strongly preferred.

• Experience with CAD & Revit

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents.
