DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
The ideal candidate will provide highly skilled ladle crane operations within our steelmaking team to meet the business needs of a highly safety-oriented and efficient steelmaking business unit.
The Basics:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in ladle crane operation within a steelmaking facility
• Strong knowledge of crane operations
• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge and ability to trouble shoot problems

The Extras:

• Additional experience preferred
• Desire to share knowledge and skills with less experienced team members

• Safety-orientation and attention to detail
• Enthusiasm and flexibility to be an integral part of starting up operations within a new facility
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication both written and verbal
• Ability and desire to work productively and positively as part of a team environment

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Operating a crane to transport liquid steel in a ladle to various locations as part of steelmaking operations
• Maintain and monitor crane equipment to ensure proper and safe operation
• Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of crane equipment
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise during the process
• Accurately recording crane pre-inspections at the beginning of each shift and reporting any causes for concern to appropriate managers / maintenance crews
