ArcelorMittal Calvert is building an advanced, non-grain-oriented electrical steel (NOES) manufacturing facility in Alabama, USA. At ArcelorMittal, we are looking for someone to join us at the forefront of the steel industry. As an Account Manager, North America Sales, Electrical Steels, you will have exciting developmental opportunities to promote this advanced and sustainable steel product, collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team, including Global R&D, and supporting customers on their journey to electrification and carbon neutrality. As part of our Electrical Steels Sales team, your contributions will be visible all around you, within the company, and with our strategic customers. As a representative of ArcelorMittal North America, you will support unified customer interactions and contribute to the success of our Electrical Steels business at AM Calvert, Alabama.

The Account Manager position supports accounts based on product across various market segments and is seen as a sales business liaison, advocating for their customers internally while considering internal business goals.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, driven, experienced Account Manager to join our new North America Electrical Steels Sales division to help successfully launch and grow our business with a strategic customer base.

Responsibilities

   Support the Sales and Marketing organization to actively identify and target strategic customers with end use applications in the auto and not auto markets that align to our product offering, capabilities and objectives.
   Support internal ArcelorMittal teams and customers with product launch and new business development activities, commercial qualifications, trials etc.
   Develop, action and manage Account Plans for the assigned customers providing customer profile information and action plans that are consistent with company direction and Sales, Marketing and Strategic objectives.
   Track performance to account sales objectives and other metrics. Identify and executes corrective actions and support continuous improvement efforts.
   Develop, build and maintain customer relationships via regular in-person visits, including entertaining, responding to customer service needs, soliciting new business to support sales plan objectives, managing the contract process and communicating customer requirements and expectations. Create visit reports and capture key highlights, market intel, etc.
   Monitor customer satisfaction through delivery and quality metrics, regular feedback, and relationship-enhancing strategies. 
   Determine price offers for customers with a strategic thinking mindset
   Negotiate day-to-day customer-related issues and be able to interact and influence the customer through the process on day-to-day items including, but not limited to claims, freight, etc.
   As part of a cross-functional team of commercial, technical, and manufacturing experts, help drive the organization to achieve strategic and tactical objectives related to profitability, volume requirements, pricing, quality, delivery, service, product development and early-vendor involvement supporting AMNA and ArcelorMittal.
   Regular review and management of customer required KPI's and various metrics including scorecard activities ensuring ratings are maintained and are communicated and addressed with the customer and internal ArcelorMittal team members as appropriate.
   Provide various monthly reports as assigned.
   Assist Customer Service Representatives, R&D representatives and Customer Technical Service personnel as necessary with any concerns they may have pertaining to your assigned accounts. 
   Function in a team environment providing backup support to team members and participate in projects and special assignments as required.
   Support internal company goals including inventory management, payment performance and invoice payments/collections and be able to explain variability in billings and volumes as compared to forecasts.
   Respond to customer service requests such as inquiries regarding products, delivery, availability, order status and requests for quotations included spot buys.
   Be the product expert to the customer and likewise identify and communicate customer needs and performance to management internally. Identify actions necessary to meet customer requirements.
   Communicate all business/market/customer intelligence back into the Sales and Marketing organization.
   Contribute to annual business planning (ABP), perform updates monthly to most recent forecast (MRF) and practice active, on-going sales call planning with CRM reporting tool.
   Perform customer and market analysis by understanding ArcelorMittal NA and competitor capabilities, drivers, price trends, performance, and structures, as well as non-price competitive factors in customer markets.
   Monitor market information daily, weekly and monthly including trend analysis and market forecasting to understand current industry economics and be a resource to customers.

What you will need

   Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
   Up to 30-40% travel time depending on assigned accounts and must be able to travel throughout North America.
   Sales and Account Management expertise.
   Knowledge and experience with Electrical Steels.
   Accomplished skills with Microsoft Suite.
   Must have strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work and manage through non-traditional work schedules.
   Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Requirements

   Steel sales experience.
   Product launch and new business development experience.
   Knowledge of Automotive market.
   Technical aptitude preferred, Engineering background a plus.
   Strong skills in the use of spreadsheets and pivot tables, MS Teams, and other MS Office tools.
   Fully utilizes the system resources and sales tools available such as CRM, Power BI, IBP Forecast tool, and newly developed future sales tools as part of daily management to perform job functions.
