Job Purpose:The Batch & Furnace Mechanic at ARC INTERNATIONAL GROUP is responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of batch and furnace equipment within the manufacturing facility. This role is critical in maintaining production efficiency and ensuring the highest quality standards in glass manufacturing processes.Key Responsibilities:Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on batch and furnace equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, making necessary repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process improvements and equipment upgrades.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.Train and mentor junior mechanics and technicians on best practices and safety procedures.Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability and longevity.Participate in emergency repair activities and provide technical support during critical situations.Required Education:High school diploma or equivalent required.Vocational training or certification in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.Required Experience:Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, particularly in batch and furnace operations.Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems within a manufacturing environment.Experience working with glass manufacturing equipment is highly desirable.Required Skills and Abilities:Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and schematics.Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and management.Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as required by production demands. #J-18808-Ljbffr
