Kramer Tree Specialists is a family-owned business that has been operating throughout the Chicago area for over 45 years. We focus on utilizing safe, sustainable and innovative strategies to maintain and manage our clients' trees.

We are seeking an experienced ISA Certified Sales Arborist who combines technical arboriculture expertise with a passion for helping clients protect and enhance their landscapes. This isn't just another sales position, it's an opportunity to become a trusted advisor to homeowners, commercial property managers, municipalities, and businesses by providing expert tree care recommendations while growing your own book of business.

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay: $55,000 - $125,000 annually
Compensation Type: Commission (earnings are uncapped)
Additional Compensation details: 100% commission position with estimated annual earnings of $55,000-$125,000 based on performance. Sales Arborists are eligible for a monthly recoverable draw (negotiable).

Sales Arborist Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with residential, commercial, and municipal clients
  • Conduct on-site property inspections and evaluate tree health and safety
  • Diagnose tree and shrub health issues, pests, and diseases
  • Develop professional arboricultural recommendations following ANSI standards
  • Prepare accurate proposals and cost estimates for tree care services
  • Present recommendations and educate clients on proper tree care
  • Partner closely with production crews to ensure successful project execution
  • Attend networking events and business development functions to generate new opportunities
  • Consistently achieve sales goals while delivering exceptional customer service

Sales Arborists Qualifications:

  • ISA Certified Arborist (or ability to obtain certification within 90 days)
  • 2+ years of arboriculture experience
  • Proven sales experience or strong customer relationship management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of tree identification, plant health care, pruning, removals, pest management, and diagnostics
  • Ability to prepare estimates and develop detailed client proposals
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable networking and developing new business opportunities
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License with a safe driving record
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an environmental or related field (preferred)

Our offices are conveniently located in the western Chicago suburbs near Wheaton, Winfield and St. Charles, easily accessible from the I-355 and I-88 interchange.
