JOB TITLE: Production Artist
DEPARTMENT: Art
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt/Hourly
JOB SUMMARY
Prepare electronic art files to assure customer satisfaction and meet company printing specifications.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Layout art on provided templates complying with our art guidelines.
  • Assure use of correct printing process and ink usage on product.
  • Communicate with ISRs and customers regarding issues during the art process.
  • Complete revisions in a timely manner
  • Offset printing.
    • Use up to 6 ink colors to create printable designs for customers.
  • Process printing.
    • Use CMYK printing along with 2 spots to create printable designs.
    • Adjust art to correct for dot gain on press.
  • Digital printing.
    • Use images and Vector art to create printable designs.
    • Adjust art to add screens and white underlayment's.
    • Add white backgrounds for cups printed in Polystyrene.
  • Load final art into the ARAS system.
  • Check art for error prior to submission to reduce QA revisions.

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:
  • Illustration skills necessary for the job

  • Strong aesthetic and conceptual skills
  • High level of knowledge in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop with emphasis on digital painting

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graphic art training with bachelor's or associate degree or 2-3 years related experience.
