Position Title: Accounting Specialist - AR Department: Finance Location: Lenexa, KS

The Opportunity

Accounting support for the AGI Digital manufacturing facilities. Accounts receivable (primary) and accounts payable invoicing processing. Work closely with sales and customer support teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices. Work closely with customers on collection of invoices.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable processing – generate, review and send invoices
  • Payment Processing – post daily cash receipts and check deposits
  • Collections – follow up on outstanding or overdue accounts via email or phone calls on a pre-defined timeline
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow-up with customers as needed.
  • Account Reconciliation – reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure accuracy and resolve any billing discrepancies
  • Credit Analysis – Monitor existing credit limits
  • Customer Service – Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments and account status
  • Credit Note processing – Obtain approvals and process accurately
  • State tax processing – ensure compliance with all state regulations and process with Avalara
  • Monitor shipped not invoiced reports to keep current
  • Assist with accounts payable functions as needed
  • Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing data to identify trends and recommend solutions
  • Develop measures to encourage timely processing
  • Assist with internal and external audit support requests

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration or similar, or comparable work experience
  • 3 years of experience in similar field within a manufacturing environment
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or Oracle Fusion experience a plus
