Job description

Position Title: Accounting Specialist - AR
Department: Finance
Location: Clay Center, KS

The Opportunity
Act as the invoicing contact for the AGI US Farm manufacturing facilities. Process invoices to customers in a timely fashion, while adhering to company policies. Administer reviews on open orders, credit limits, payments, etc. to ensure a seamless transition from order to shipping to cash. Work closely with AGI Credit department to establish and monitor credit limits.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all accounts receivable invoicing for US Farm facilities.
  • Work with Assistant Controller to monitor accounts and open orders to ensure a plan is in place prior to shipping disruptions
  • Monitor and report on accounts receivable aging and follow-up with customers as needed.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing aging reports to identify trends and recommend solutions
  • Develop measures to encourage timely payments
  • Ensure complete electronic document support retention
  • Act as the customer contact for all billing inquiries, collection activities, etc.
  • Address customer inquiries- act as liaison between customers, production facilities and sales teams
  • Meet or exceed collection targets
  • Assist AGI Credit in gathering of credit applications and/or support
  • Work with local facilities to ensure timing of product completion aligns with available credit
  • Work with US Farm customers to establish acceptable payment arrangements
  • Assist with internal and external audit support requests

Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration or similar, or comparable work experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in similar field
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint
  • Adobe Pro
  • SAP or Microsoft Dynamics AX experience a plus
