Job description

Director of Facilities Management
Location: Hybrid
Travel: Approximately 30-40%
Reports To: Vice President, Facilities
Lead Facilities Operations for a Growing Multi-Site Organization
At Onelife Fitness, we're growing rapidly with more than 70 health clubs across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast and plans to continue expanding through new club openings and acquisitions. We're seeking an experienced Director of Facilities Management to lead the operational performance of our facilities organization and ensure every club delivers a safe, reliable, and exceptional member experience.
Reporting to the Vice President of Facilities, you'll oversee Regional Facilities Managers responsible for maintaining our portfolio of clubs while driving operational excellence, preventive maintenance, capital execution, vendor performance, compliance, and continuous improvement across the business.
What You'll Do
  • Lead facilities operations across 70+ club locations, ensuring consistent execution of preventive maintenance, repairs, and building systems management.
  • Manage and develop Regional Facilities Managers while building a high-performing, scalable field organization.
  • Drive operational excellence through standardized processes, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee CMMS performance, work order management, preventive maintenance, asset tracking, and reporting.
  • Manage multi-million-dollar operating and capital budgets, forecasting, and regional financial performance.
  • Partner with Procurement to manage regional vendor performance and service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, fire/life safety, and building regulations while leading facility-related incident response.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Construction, Engineering, Aquatics, Finance, Real Estate, Legal, and Procurement to support club operations, renovations, and new club openings.
  • Leverage technology, analytics, and automation to improve efficiency, asset reliability, and field productivity.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive facilities management experience, including leadership of multi-site portfolios (20+ locations).
  • 3+ years leading managers responsible for facilities operations.
  • Experience managing operating and capital budgets in a multi-site environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building systems, preventive maintenance, and CMMS platforms.
  • Proven success leading field operations, vendor management, and operational improvements across distributed locations.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30-40%.

Preferred
  • Experience in fitness, hospitality, retail, restaurant, or other high-volume multi-site environments.
  • CFM, FMP, or similar professional certification.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing a CMMS platform.
