Job description

The Marketing Coordinator works within the Marketing team and reports to the Brand Manager. The Marketing Coordinator assists the Brand Manager with the development, creation and distribution of marketing messages and execution of marketing strategies across traditional & digital channels to strengthen brand and drive attendance and revenue while ensuring all deadlines are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support in the development, planning, and execution of promotional campaigns, festivals, events, new products, and more.
  • Assist Brand Manager in coordinating workflow, assuring all parties supply necessary information and content on schedule.
  • Using brand voice, update or create copy for collateral, website, and email and advance projects through the approval process in a timely manner.
  • Complete weekly/monthly checks to ensure website, on-site signage, and other assets are up to date with correct information.
  • Champion promotions including participation in ideation and leading on execution, internal coordination and communication.
  • Share events/festivals to community calendars & relevant FB groups.
  • Execute promotional programs with strategic partners and sponsors to include coordination and production of materials, logistics and contract execution. Collaborate with Brand Manager to write proposals and event summaries and provide documentation of contract fulfillment.
  • Assist with planning and own execution of member and general admission events like exhibit previews, promotional giveaways and special operating hours.
  • Collect content for the promotional/event calendar from all sources and publish to management team with updates.
  • Attend and assist with media and film shoots
  • Provide team support as needed to launch campaigns and achieve common goals.
  • Organize and maintain creative assets in a central database.
  • Coordinate printing and shipping, delivery and storage of collateral material.
  • Provide general clerical support including scanning, copying and filing documents, answering phones/making calls, fulfilling ticket requests, taking meeting notes, proof-reading, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Educational/experience/skills requirements:
  • College diploma preferred in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Public Relations or Communications.
  • Ability to track and manage project timelines and deadlines including ability to work through barriers to meeting those deadlines
  • Must possess strong organizational skills, attention-to-detail and ability to prioritize project needs. Must be able to multitask while being "fast and accurate" to meet deadlines.
  • Applicant must have solid verbal and written communication skills and be able to work independently and with a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required and the ability to work with all levels of management and diverse departments such as I.T., Sales, Operations, Guest Services and Finance.
  • Experience in theme park, attractions or entertainment industry and working with the public - preferred but not required.
  • May be required to work occasional early mornings, late evenings or overnights to execute events or assist in media/TV filming.
  • Digital skills: proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Experience in project tracking software like Basecamp or Wrike is preferred. Experience with ticketing or POS software is a plus.
