Job description

ElderSpan Management has a great opportunity for a handy, reliable, compassionate and mechanically apt individual to join our team as a Maintenance Technician! This position will work on-site at our two senior living campuses in Platteville and Lancaster.

Shift: Other, See Hours
Hours:M-F, Generally 8am-5pm
Salary Range:$23/hr + Based on Experience

Maintenance Technician responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Fulfill maintenance requests per work orders
  • Assist with preparing rooms for admissions
  • Move furniture and resident belongings
  • Make regular inspections of the grounds, buildings, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances and major equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance functions and record activity in maintenance log such as changing light bulbs, caulking, changing filters, painting, cleaning carpets, washing windows, etc.
  • Perform construction skills including rough and finish carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall, landscaping, etc.
  • Use and maintain hand and power tools

What qualifications are we looking for in a Maintenance Technician?

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in residential property management
  • Ability to perform plumbing, electrical and HVAC repairs, as well as carpentry, painting, dry-wall repair, and snow removal
  • Ability to handle on-call emergency services on an as-needed basis
  • Valid WI driver's license and a favorable driving records
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English
  • Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.; support up to 100 lbs.
