What is an Apriso job?

An Apriso job typically involves working with Dassault Systèmes' Apriso software, a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) used to optimize production processes. Professionals in this role configure, implement, and maintain Apriso solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency, track production data, and enhance supply chain visibility. Apriso specialists may work as developers, consultants, or analysts, depending on the company's needs. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, database management, and programming languages like SQL or .NET is often required.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Apriso position, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Apriso specialist (often titled as a MES Apriso Developer or Consultant), you need a strong background in manufacturing operations, process optimization, and systems integration, typically with a degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Familiarity with Dassault Systèmes' Apriso MES software, SQL, .NET programming, and experience with manufacturing execution systems are key technical requirements. Strong problem-solving, effective communication, and collaboration skills are important for working with cross-functional teams and troubleshooting complex systems. These competencies ensure successful implementation and support of manufacturing IT solutions that drive efficiency and quality.

What does a typical day look like for someone working with Apriso MES systems?

A typical day for an Apriso MES professional involves collaborating with manufacturing engineers, IT teams, and production staff to design, configure, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes within the Apriso platform. You may spend time translating business requirements into system specifications, developing and testing customizations, and supporting end-users with technical issues. Regular tasks also include monitoring system performance, generating reports, and implementing process improvements. Since the role often bridges IT and manufacturing, strong communication and project management skills are valuable for coordinating stakeholders and ensuring smooth operations.
