Job description

 How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

  • Use indirect influence to assemble and lead cross functional  teams to drive process improvements, creating efficiency and standardization in support of company goals
  • Facilitate continuous improvement events such as Kaizen, Process Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, RRCA, 5S, Standard Work
  • Perform process walks, operator observations, and lead MFG team discussions to drive process enhancements to reduce variation
  • Lead/Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives (PFMEA, control Plans, SPC, etc.) to drive quality upstream into the design process
  • Perform verification and validation of improvements to understand effectiveness
  • Identify opportunities for improvements to be leveraged across BETA
  • Assist in developing a Beta continuous improvement program and drive a culture of continuous improvement through training and other communication methods
  • Build and maintain a visible quality metrics dashboard that connects continuous improvement to company goals
  • Recommend and support updates to QMS procedures, work instructions, and forms when projects reveal process gaps or documentation deficiencies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field - or equivalent demonstrated competence 
  • 8+ years in a manufacturing quality role, with direct hands-on experience running continuous improvement projects/events through to verified closure 
  • Proficiency in structured root cause analysis methods (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, DIVE, or equivalent), APQP, PFMEA 
  • Working knowledge of AS9100D and 14 CFR Part 21 requirements 
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and interpret inspection data 
  • Motivated self starter with exceptional ability for indirect influence and team leadership with a high degree of emotional intelligence and ability to modify methods for audience

Above and Beyond Qualifications:

  • AS9100D Lead Auditor certification 
  • Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt 
  • Aerospace or defense manufacturing background 
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, factory floor layout, kanbans, inventory management, visual factory
