The Metal Refinishing Paid Apprenticeship is designed to equip aspiring professionals with comprehensive skills in metal refinishing through hands-on training and mentorship. Apprentices will work primarily on standard metal finishing projects, gaining practical experience in tool operation, surface preparation, and quality inspection while adhering to strict safety standards. The apprenticeship emphasizes practical learning under the guidance of rotating supervisors to foster skill development and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to company safety protocols and participate in ongoing safety training
  • Perform hands-on metal refinishing tasks including sanding, painting, and polishing
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment such as sanders, grinders, and polishers
  • Prepare surfaces through cleaning, stripping, and masking techniques
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure high standards of finish
