Truetimber, a respected leader in tree care services based in Richmond, VA, is seeking a motivated Apprentice Tree Climber to join its growing team. Responsibilities
  • Learn and apply tree climbing, rigging, and pruning techniques under the guidance of experienced crew members
  • Assist with ground support tasks, including debris handling, equipment care, and site cleanup
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site by following all safety protocols and company procedures
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and responsibly
  • Communicate effectively with teammates and crew leaders to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Contribute to team productivity and customer satisfaction by working efficiently and professionally

Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Valid Virginia Driver’s License
  • Willingness to obtain a Class B CDL (training provided)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screening
  • Willingness to obtain First-Aid/CPR certification upon hire (training provided)
  • Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Willing and able to work additional hours during peak seasons or weather-related situations
  • No prior tree climbing experience required—paid training provided
