Experienced Plumbing Service Technician

Florida Standard Plumbing | Southwest Florida
Full-Time

Florida Standard Plumbing is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Plumbing Service Technician to join our team.

We are looking for a skilled, dependable plumber who is comfortable working independently in the field, diagnosing plumbing problems, communicating with customers, and completing quality repairs and installations.

This is not an entry-level or apprentice position. We are looking for an experienced technician who can confidently manage service calls from diagnosis through completion while providing the level of workmanship and customer service our customers expect.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot residential and commercial plumbing issues

  • Complete plumbing service calls, repairs, replacements, and installations

  • Perform drain cleaning and troubleshoot drainage issues

  • Repair and replace water heaters, fixtures, toilets, faucets, valves, piping, and other plumbing components

  • Diagnose and repair water leaks and compromised piping

  • Perform plumbing work in accordance with applicable codes and company standards

  • Clearly explain findings, recommended repairs, and available options to customers

  • Accurately document work performed, materials used, and job findings

  • Take appropriate before, during, and after photos of completed work

  • Maintain an organized and properly stocked service vehicle

  • Communicate with the office regarding job status, additional work, materials, and scheduling needs

  • Maintain a clean and professional work area

  • Provide excellent customer service and represent Florida Standard Plumbing professionally in the field

  • Assist with larger plumbing projects and installations as needed

Qualifications
  • Previous professional plumbing experience required

  • Strong plumbing troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

  • Ability to independently complete common residential and commercial plumbing repairs

  • Knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, fixtures, and installation practices

  • Experience with water heaters, drain systems, fixtures, valves, piping repairs, and service plumbing

  • Ability to communicate professionally and comfortably with customers
