The Electrical Pre-Apprenticesupportsthe installation and termination of conduit, wiring, cabling, electrical equipment, panels,sensorsandbasiccontrol componentsunder supervision. This roleassistswith theassemblyand fabrication of control panels and systems, including the installation of interlock wiring andparticipation inwiring verification and checkout activitiesin accordance withdrawings and procedures. TheElectricalPreApprentice also supports the testing of installed,repairedormodifiedequipment toverifyproper operation andassistswithidentifyingand ordering replacement equipment,partsand supplies.
Assistwith the installation and termination ofconduit, wiring, cabling, electrical equipment, panels,sensorsand basic control components under the direction of a Journeyperson or Supervisor.
Knowledge,SkillsandAbilities
Basic understanding of electrical fundamentals, including voltage, current,resistanceand simple circuits.
Willingness to learn and develop foundational electrical skills, includingmaintainingawareness of relevant codes, safety practices,toolsand evolving electrical technologies.
Education and Work Experience
Completion of, or enrollment in, an electricalpreapprenticeship, trade readiness or related technical training programisconsidered an asset.
