This role is part of a team that is responsible for creation and maintenance of advanced BIM models and data for various projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project/Company standards and guidelines. This position is located in Fenton, MO. The expectation is that this will be a hybrid position depending on business needs.Make an Impact! We also offer vision and fitness reimbursement.We pride ourselves on our collaborative environment where employees are empowered to advance their career, explore career paths, and grow personally and professionally.DAY IN THE LIFE:The BIM Modeler will collaborate with the project Layout Design Coordinator and Engineer(s) to coordinate the review of models and vendor equipment, and will also be responsible for:Creating, checking and maintaining complex 3D models of all equipment supplied by N/E and sub vendors using advanced features of BIM softwareGenerating and extracting 2D drawings and details from the 3D models for fabrication/construction documentation,Collaborating with other Drafting and Engineering team members by sharing and accessing data though a Common Data Environment,Checking models for accuracy and completeness, ensuring they meet the project requirements and company standards,Identifying 3D model clashes and coordinates with the team in resolving conflicts in the design., andAssisting in training and mentoring Junior BIM modelers by sharing best practices and advanced techniques.QUALIFICATIONS. We want the person selected for this role to be successful! The following qualifications are essential to be effective in this role:Work ExperienceAt least 3 years of experience with BIM & CAD software, specifically in using Piping and/or Structural Steel modeling software experience. Knowledge of typical building codes and how they are applied.EducationAssociate degree, Technical or Vocational education preferred; experience will be considered in lieu of education.Technical skill:Advanced BIM Software ProficiencyUnderstanding of Fabrication and Construction Drawings:Advanced Skill in identifying and resolving issues within the BIM model.Precision in creating and updating models to ensure accuracy.Non-Technical Skills:Ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholdersEagerness to learn new tools, software, technologies and methodologies related to BIM.Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Ability to read, write, problem solve, make quick decisions, interpret data and analyze results; effective written and verbal communication is essential.Domestic travel possible in special circumstances for this role less than 1% but including climbing stair towers, ladders and entering confined spaces during plant visits and inspections.If you are interested in this position, please simply click the Apply button or visit our careers page at www.ne.com to get started!
