Mechanic Apprentice / Dryer Scraper
Unitex is currently seeking a skilled Mechanic Apprentice to join our team in Newburgh, NY. This position is great for someone with mechanical abilities and has tremendous growth potential.
Compensation: $18.00 /hour. The salary range for this position is $18.00/hour to $18.00/hour. Actual compensation decisions are based on factors such as experience, seniority, location, and other permissible job-related factors.
Schedule: Monday-Saturday 1:30PM -10:00PM, days off being Sunday and Monday.
To be discussed during screening prior to interview, based on seniority per Union Contract.

  • Repairs carts, maintains slings, takes on small projects, and performs routine maintenance and repairs on industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and press machines.
Requirements:

  • Punctual and reliable a must
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and practices in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and other departments.
