We provide diverse mechanical services to meet our customer's needs, ranging from engineering and installing heating and cooling systems to maintaining and troubleshooting commercial/industrial HVAC and fire protection systems. eTEC's mission is to provide commercial and industrial HVAC, plumbing, piping and fire protection systems for customers who need a single source mechanical contractor. We are the only mechanical service provider in central Virginia able to efficiently provide professional in-house engineering, installation and maintenance for HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems to the commercial and industrial market.
Job Title:
Sheet Metal Apprentice- Fabrication Shop
Job Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of HVAC-Sheet Metal functions including performing and coordinating the installation, repair and service of HVAC-Sheet Metal systems on a commercial job site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performs various shop tasks associated with the HVAC sheet metal trade.
  • Construct duct work
  • Coordinate with other trades in efficient and timely job completion.
  • Perform Related work as required
  • Ensure safe work practices and adheres to safety rules/policies.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a construction or other physically demanding jobs.
  • Considerable knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade and general construction environment.
  • Skill in the care and use of tools and equipment used in the sheet metal trade.
  • Physical activities include standing, balancing, climbing stairs and ladders, walking and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. are required.
