Marketing Director Apprentice
Romeo Auto Group is a family-owned and operated automotive group committed to our customers, employees, and the communities we serve. Supporting multiple dealership locations and brands, our marketing team plays a vital role in driving dealership growth, community involvement, employee engagement, and brand awareness across the organization.
This role is ideal for a driven, creative, and organized individual who is eager to grow into a future marketing leadership position. As a Marketing Director Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in automotive marketing through content creation, digital campaigns, event coordination, relationship building, and data-driven marketing initiatives.
While a traditional marketing background is welcome, we are especially interested in candidates with dealership management experience who understand dealership operations, automotive technologies, vendor relationships, and the direct impact marketing has on sales, service, and customer retention. Experience supporting multiple rooftops and working closely with dealership leadership teams is highly desirable.

Full-Time, Year-Round Position Benefits Included
Salary Range: $50,000-$70,000
Occasional Weekend Hours Required
Marketing Coordination & Strategy
  • Assist in planning and executing monthly marketing initiatives across all locations
  • Collaborate with dealership managers to align marketing with business goals
  • Coordinate with marketing agencies on campaigns, creative, reporting, and deadlines
  • Support campaign analysis, budgeting, and performance tracking
  • Attend vendor meetings and assist with monthly reporting
Events & Community Involvement
  • Coordinate dealership participation in community events, sponsorships, and partnerships
  • Represent the brand at events and build relationships with local organizations
  • Manage event logistics with managers (staffing, vehicles, materials)
  • Identify new community engagement opportunities
Internal Events & Team Morale
  • Help plan internal events (holiday parties, team-building, employee appreciation)
  • Coordinate logistics with vendors and internal teams
  • Support initiatives that enhance company culture and employee experience
Social Media & Digital Content
  • Coordinate and review content across social media, websites, and Google profiles
  • Ensure content is accurate, timely, and on-brand
  • Work with dealership teams to gather photos, videos, and testimonials
  • Support creative campaigns highlighting inventory, events, and culture
Analytics & Reporting
  • Assist with monthly performance reports
  • Track KPIs such as traffic, leads, engagement, and conversions
  • Use data insights to improve marketing effectiveness
Manufacturer & Compliance Support
  • Assist with manufacturer communication and co-op advertising processes
  • Ensure marketing meets compliance and approval requirements
  • Track deadlines, submissions, and documentation

Required Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of automotive industry experience.
  • Previous management-level experience within a dealership environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of dealership processes, OEM programs, and automotive retail marketing.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Able to travel to and from Kingston NY and Glens Falls area.

Marketing & Digital Experience
  • Experience coordinating and executing marketing initiatives across multiple dealership locations.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing platforms and reporting, including:
    • Google Business Profile
    • Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
    • Meta (Facebook & Instagram) advertising
    • Paid search and digital advertising vendors
  • Ability to analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across multiple marketing channels and platforms.
  • Experience managing relationships with third-party automotive vendors and marketing partners.

Content & Communications
  • Experience creating, coordinating, and overseeing content creation for dealership marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to collaborate with dealership managers and staff to gather content, promotions, vehicle information, and customer stories.
  • Strong written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven proofreading and editing abilities to ensure accuracy and consistency across all marketing materials.

Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge
  • Understanding of automotive advertising regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with New York State automotive advertising laws, disclosures, and best practices.
  • Ability to review advertising materials for accuracy and compliance before publication.

Leadership & Collaboration
  • Ability to work effectively with General Managers, Sales Managers, Service Managers, and Executive Leadership across multiple locations.
  • Experience serving as the primary liaison between dealerships and external marketing agencies.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, sponsorships, community events, and charitable initiatives simultaneously.
