Job description

This is a posting for the following positions for:

Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Alternate Route Endorsement 2517

The High School CTE HVAC Program prepares students for careers in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration by providing hands-on training and industry-based instruction. Students learn essential skills in system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, electrical components, safety procedures, and energy efficiency practices. Through classroom learning and practical lab experiences, students develop problem-solving, technical, and customer service skills needed in the skilled trades. This program provides a strong pathway to postsecondary training, industry certifications, apprenticeships, and careers in HVAC and building systems.  

Qualifications

  1. Possess or be willing to obtain the NJDOE CTE Instructional Certificate with appropriate endorsement.
  2. Possesses a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field or evidence of employment history of 4 years (8,000 hours).
  3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  4. Ability to work with diverse populations.
