Do you want to work amongst highly trained professionals that deliver exceptional customer service to the Richmond area? If so, learn more about The Mango Academy Apprentice Program! We are looking for:Apprentices, Mango is seeking passionate, hardworking, goal-orientated individuals to join our Apprentice Program! This program provides aspiring Hair Designers an opportunity to work-to-learn the business and the technical skills needed to pass the State Board Cosmetology Licensing Test. In addition to experience working alongside Hair Designers in our salons, Mango provides weekly training and education programs. The curriculum gives apprentices the skills needed to earn their license and perform hair services.This is a Full-Time commitment with the need for flexible scheduling and will require evenings and weekends. Candidates must have flexibility to work in any of our three locations.Physical requirements of this position include standing and walking for a minimum of 4 hours, on occasion requires the ability to climb a ladder and balance, utilization of hand and finger dexterity, and lifting/pushing light weights less than 25 pounds. This position also requires frequent reaching with arms/hands, bending, stopping, kneeling, talking, and use of hearing/vision.Some traits we are looking for:Personable - friendly with a passion to serve others. Accountable - learn Mango processes. As an Apprentice you will be working Full-Time as an Assistant in our salons. Responsibilities include AVEDA rituals and practices, shampooing, color mixing and toners, color pull throughs, maintaining overall cleanliness of Salon, assisting Designer team and other tasks assigned by Salon Management team. Organized - the ability to prioritize and complete assigned tasks proficiently within set time standards. You are responsible for attending classes, completing required course work and practice hours, and fulfilling other requirements per completion of the program. Adaptable & Flexible - capable of working flexible hours, interacting with other departments to ensure that guests' needs are satisfied, knowledge of salon services, products & promotions. Anticipate your team's needs, help them thrive and contribute to their success!
