Job description

Ray Laethem Buick GMC is a growing collision repair and auto body shop committed to delivering high-quality repairs and exceptional customer service. We are looking for a motivated and dependable Body Shop Apprentice who is eager to learn the trade and build a long-term career in the automotive repair industry.ย 

Job Summary: As a Body Shop Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced technicians to learn all aspects of collision repair, vehicle refinishing, and shop operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for automobiles.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist technicians with vehicle disassembly and reassembly
  • Learn body repair techniques, including dent repair and panel replacement
  • Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming
  • Operate shop equipment and tools under supervision
  • Preform other shop related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Interest in automotive collision repair and refinishing
  • Strong willingness to learn and take direction
  • Reliable attendance and positive attitude
  • Basic mechanical aptitude is preferred but not required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to life up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
