Job description

Job Title: Product Service EngineerJob Description

This role supports Remote Services and MineStar technology initiatives by coordinating the implementation, validation, and adoption of new service technologies across multiple product groups. It is a hybrid position that combines technical service engineering knowledge with project coordination, communication, and administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the rollout of remote machine service tests across multiple product groups.
  • Work with engineering, validation teams, dealers, and product groups to ensure projects stay on schedule.
  • Support adoption of new remote service technologies by tracking hardware, software, and implementation readiness.
  • Validate service test functionality through hands-on machine testing and field support activities.
  • Facilitate leadership and stakeholder meetings and provide project status updates.
  • Create presentations and reports for management and senior leadership, including VP-level updates.
  • Serve as a liaison between product support, implementation teams, engineering, dealers, and customers.
  • Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, and incident management related to MineStar hardware and software.
  • Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, field follow projects, and product support initiatives.
  • Help improve processes, product supportability, and customer experience through feedback and continuous improvement efforts.
Essential Skills
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree with 7+ years of experience or Master's degree with approximately 1 year of experience considered.
  • Service tool background or technical service aptitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project management or project coordination leadership experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to learn machine systems, service procedures, and remote diagnostic technologies.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting and problem-solving processes.
  • Experience working with engineering, technical, or service organizations.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to organize and present information.
  • Machine service or equipment troubleshooting experience.
  • Diesel engine service experience.
  • Mechanical or electronics technician background.
  • MineStar experience is beneficial but not required.
Work Environment

The position is part of a small, collaborative 6-person team. It reports to the NPI Manager with daily guidance from two senior NPI team leads. The role is primarily office-based with occasional hands-on machine validation work. Limited travel (0-25%) may be required, including possible visits to Peoria Proving Grounds, dealer locations, or product group sites.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $48.00/hr.
