Berkeys Plumbing, A/C & Electrical is looking for an Electrical Apprentice with previous residential electrical experience who is serious about building a long-term career in the trade.

This is an opportunity to work alongside licensed Electricians on real residential service, repair, replacement, and installation projects while continuing to develop the technical knowledge and field experience needed to progress toward becoming a Journeyman Electrician.

Responsibilities

???? What You'll Learn & Do

You'll work directly alongside experienced licensed Electricians while continuing to develop your skills in:

  • Residential electrical service, repair, replacement, and installation
  • Installing and servicing wiring, conduit, boxes, fixtures, devices, circuits, panels, and service equipment
  • Measuring, cutting, bending, and installing conduit
  • Pulling, routing, supporting, and preparing wire and cable
  • Assisting with electrical connections, terminations, grounding, and bonding
  • Residential remodel wiring and new circuit installation
  • Assisting with troubleshooting and circuit tracing
  • Learning to read electrical plans, wiring diagrams, panel schedules, and manufacturer instructions
  • Using electrical hand tools, power tools, ladders, and approved testing equipment safely
  • Learning applicable electrical codes and residential installation standards
  • Preparing jobsites and protecting customers' homes and property
  • Maintaining tools, materials, equipment, and vehicle inventory
  • Completing job documentation, photos, materials records, and other required information

All electrical work will be performed within the limitations of your Apprentice license, training, demonstrated ability, and required supervision.

✅ Qualifications
  • Previous residential electrical apprentice experience strongly preferred
  • Current Texas Electrical Apprentice License required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Basic knowledge of residential electrical systems, materials, and tools
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of residential electrical work
  • Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, varying temperatures, and other residential jobsite conditions
  • Flexibility to support overtime, evenings, weekends, or on-call assignments when required
