Job description

Holt of California is proud to be part of the elite group of Caterpillar dealers worldwide. We sell, rent and service a wide-variety of equipment Including Large and Small Construction Tractors, Forklifts, and Prime/Stand-by-Power Generation.

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN WEST SACRAMENTO, CA.

POSITION SUMMARY

Works in the Power Systems Service shop Performing shop and equipment inspections. Responsible for inspection and maintenance of the shop and field equipment, wash rack, and load banks.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Perform monthly inspections on the shop forklifts, unassigned service vehicles, load banks, and the power systems service shop.

· Deliver parts, tooling, cables and other items out to service technicians working in the field.

· At times the utility worker may be asked to report to the shop after-hours and on weekends to unlock the gate and assist with emergency generator rentals going out.

· Assist journeyman and apprentice technicians with troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of generators, and engines in Petroleum, Industrial and Marine applications.

· Check in rental equipment coming in from rent and check out units going out on rent.

· Make minor repairs to rental equipment to include but not limited to trailer wiring, jack and chassis.

· Load, unload, move, and organize new engine and equipment deliveries.

· Deliver smaller generators out to customer locations.

· Other duties may be assigned.

· Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid California class C or higher driver’s license, and a clean DMV report.

COMPENSATION

Wage Range 21.39 Hourly

Wage depends on knowledge, skills and ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
