Prolim is hiring for a .Net Developer for a leading client.
 
Location: Lansing, MI
Contract: 12+ months Contract to hire
 

Job Summary
Responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining web applications and system components. Works from detailed specifications to develop and modify programs, analyzes requirements with stakeholders, resolves programming issues, and documents development and revisions. May mentor junior staff and coordinate work of others. Works under general supervision and follows Agile development practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert project specifications and problem statements into computer programs by preparing and/or receiving detailed specifications describing sequence of steps, inputs/outputs, and logical operations.
  • Analyze specifications using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic to design solutions.
  • Confer with supervisors and stakeholders to resolve questions of program intent, data inputs, outputs, and required internal checks and controls.
  • Translate detailed specifications into language processable by computers; enter program code into the system.
  • Prepare and input test data; observe program execution and interpret monitor output to identify issues.
  • Debug and correct program errors by modifying code or changing program sequence; retest and validate fixes.
  • Prepare block diagrams and machine logic flowcharts to support detailed coding and documentation.
  • Write run-time instructions to guide operating personnel during production runs.
  • Review, rewrite, and optimize programs to increase efficiency or meet new requirements.
  • Compile and maintain documentation for program development, revisions, and operational procedures.
  • Assist system analysts and operators as needed to resolve implementation or production issues.
  • Analyze proposed applications for equipment requirements and compatibility; assist in systems software generation or installation.
  • Mentor or train other developers; when applicable, lead or coordinate programming teams.
  • Apply Agile methodologies during development, participate in sprint ceremonies, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in web development using ASP.NET and C#.
  • 8+ years experience with JavaScript and front-end web development.
  • 8+ years experience building web applications backed by SQL Server.
  • Strong object-oriented programming knowledge (8+ years).
  • Experience working in Agile development environments (8+ years).
  • Experience developing with Microsoft's MVC 5.0 framework, including Razor (8+ years).
  • Proficient with SQL Server reporting services (5 years).
  • Experience using Entity Framework ORM (5 years).
  • Experience working with jQuery (5 years).
  • Experience in unit testing practices and tools (3 years).

Additional info:

  • - Interview Process: Interviews will be held in-person. Candidates MUST be available for an in-person interview.
  • - Duration: 1 year with desire for contractor to convert to fulltime with SOMI in 1-2 years. At the time of conversion, candidate must be authorized to work in the US without VISA sponsorship by the State of Michigan.
  • - Hybrid: Resource will be working a hybrid schedule. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week (required in-person days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
